Barbara Prakup, M.A.,C.C.C.-SLP Barbara has been in the field of speech-language pathology for nearly 25 years, and is currently a doctoral candidate at Kent State University with specialization in the singing voice and voice disorders.  Ms. Prakup has taught graduate level courses   at Kent State University and the University of Akron.  Ms. Prakup remains active in private practice with Ms. Angell.  In addition, she pursues an interest in choral singing through performing with groups such as the Akron Symphony Gospel Choir and the Southwest Community Choir. Education: B.A. in Speech Pathology from Cleveland State University, 1979 M.A. in Speech Pathology from Cleveland State University, 1981 Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) 1982 Ohio State License of Speech-Language Pathology, 1982 Work Experience 1982-86 -- Speech-Language Pathologist, Cuyahoga County Board of MR/DD 1987-1990 -- Director of Speech Pathology Dept., Akron General Medical Center 1990 - present -- Co-owner of Comprehensive Communication Specialists. Variety of contracts with hospitals, home-health agencies, schools, nursing facilities.
